Viking Village is intended to encourage dialogue and increase a sense of community on the Western Campus. It is an experimental project, meant to grow and evolve based on the types of things useful to students, staff and faculty at WWU. It is open to the world for viewing, but only open to participation from students, staff, and faculty of Western Washington University. It is NOT ANONYMOUS. You can give yourself a different name to participate, but you login with your universal ID, and if needed, we do know who every individual is on the forum. If a user is banned from Viking Village, his or her name will be reverted to the universal ID.
We hope that it will grow to provide additional opportunities for students, staff and faculty to work together online in new and interesting ways. Viking Village is a collaborative effort. It is experimental and open to suggestion. If you'd like to help develop this site, contact Andrea Peterson at (360) 650-3894.
The advisory board for this project includes Andrea Peterson (chair), John Farquhar, Carmen Werder, Sylvia Tag, Jeff Purdue, Frank Roberts, Deborah Frost, Megan Otis, Roberta Kjesrud, Whitney Dunbar, Jamin Agosti, Kate Bauer, and Jonathan McConnell.
