Hey is anyone going to Unity tomorrow? Darude's headlining and it'll probably be pretty amazing. I need a ride down there if anyone's going, so if they've got a spot in their car that'd be great! I'd chip in for gas and such as well.
Thanks!
Colter

I have been really into mochipet.
Hey Colter, did you get to see Darude? :)
Hey Mina, I was unable to make it to Darude. Supa-bummed about it, but it happens I guess. I am going to make it to Nice Dreams, downtown here this friday. Stoked for one that will be within walking distance, even if my ankle is sprained ;) See you there!
Yeah, I'm def into Trance! Is there a club set up yet?
Go to this(!)-
Thanks m parallel for posting the link!
I LOVE Matt Darey...I have a lot of his old stuff <3 But alas, my cousin's wedding is on that day. :( If anyone is going, please take some video. :")
This lineup is tight :)

I agree. And like I mentioned before I have heard that prodigy shows are mental.
I'm thinking about possibly going to this.......although I'm still not sure (I'm a senior and, thus, I am homework)
Did anyone end up going to see Armin?
Anyone else catch ASOT 400? It was awesome!
I just got into trance music, do you guys know any other artists that are similar to infected mushroom?
Not sure, I think they are Psy Trance. In that case I highly recommend going to www.di.fm and using the Psy Trance channel.
Here's a good background on them: http://www.thedjlist.com/djs/INFECTED_MUSHROOM/
Note: for anyone who isn't familiar with www.di.fm this is the place for electronic music. You can stream at a nice 96k for free, but more than anything. Take a look at the calendar. If you take full advantage of finding the DJs you like they play live sets and you can even post on the forum with some of them who use that as well. I don't know how many hours a week I spend listening to the Trance / Vocal Trance / Electro House stations. My favorite sets are Future Sound of Egypt (aly and fila uplifting trance/progressive) , A State of Trance (Armin Van Buuren trance/progressive) , Lip Locked (Anna Kiss/electro house) , Electro Love (Mark Starr/electro house). Today I was impressed with Resonance of Voice (Franky2k/Vocal Trance).
I would say Rabbit in the Moon is another veteran group somewhat similar to Infected Mushroom. These guys have an absolutely wild live show, maybe a combination of Donnie Darko and Stomp. Here's a clip of them (not mine) in Seattle at Qwest field a couple years ago.

You might try an iridium sky and ikari show, for local talent in the same vein as Infected Mushroom. Unfortunately, they are pretty new and end up opening at like 9PM or closing at like 4AM, so they are kind of illusive to the average party-goer. Here's their myspace page with some tracks streaming.

Overall, IM is a pretty unique group, and the quality of their arrangement is a bit higher than typical for EDM.

My friend actually knows them, so that's how I got into their music. :) Their music makes me want to have a mini rave in my room. XD
thanks m parallel, iridium sky and ikari show is awsome!
Sooooooo does anyone really want to make an EDM show happen on/around campus?
It seems like a lot of us want to do this, but nobody wants to step up to organize it. Whatddya think? Should we try to do this next year? THIS YEAR??
I'm a DJ and honestly I'd love to try to make this show happen because I'd love to spin at it, and meet more people around WWU that are fans of this kinda music. However, I'd need a more coordinated response from people on Viking Village that would be willing to help out with it. I'd be willing to jump through the hoops of reserving a room, getting more DJs to spin, getting lights, sound, etc. together if I knew there were some people that would be willing to help promote it (e.g.make posters, table outside) and help in other ways as well. Apparently WWU has a pretty good setup for something like this at their disposal, and we just need to go through the paperwork to make it happen. I'm thinkin that, if we could get a place like the VU multipurpose, we could maybe get a line-up several DJs spinning different genres to come out and spin from the early afternoon to later at night. I feel like this could go over really well here at Western if we did this right.
Here's my email. If you would be willing to help make this happen sometime next year, email me, or post here on the forum. proudc@students.wwu.edu
Let's try to make this happen, EDM fans! :)
Good Idea Casey :)

Anyone going to go see the Villains on Friday? I'm thinking I might!
"Well see, um, in a gang world, we use something called fluffy fingers."
"What is that?"
"That's when someone really gets in your face, you know you just, start ticklin' 'em."
