I recently left a jump drive in one of the com lab computers, and I just wanted to thank that person who put it on the whiteboard and wrote a note. I think its great that in general people leave left/lost things alone, turn them in or try to find the owners. Thanks to you all, it really helps make this campus a great place to live.
I concur! I have found and returned many many flashdrives.
I only wish the same had happened for me when I lost mine last year!
same here, i accidentally left my phone in the library and someone kindly returned it :]
I recently left my ATM card in one of the ATMs in the VU (damn things take your card then make you remember to get it back)
Anyway, someone wonderful and awesome turned it in and the VU finance office emailed me to pick it up. I went to pick it up and the person working brought out a little filing box and pulled out my card.....apparently, this happens so often that they have a file for forgotten ATM cards! This means that there are a multitude of REALLY COOL PEOPLE on campus who turn in forgotten cards for those of us with a possibly malfunctioning short-term memory.

I find it so rude when people dont return things! I know if I lose things, I'd want it back. My friend who loses everything lost her camera in the bathroom beofre a concert and 5 minutes later it was gone. Hope that person enjoys the pictures that were on it and found use for it considering they would have needed to buy a charger and a connection device for the computer... ugh. But then again, for those with chronic habits of leaving things, figure out something where it doesnt happen often.
I currently have a green canteen I found and have posted here and on craigslist in hopes of finding the owner before putting into lost and found.
