I was thinking that it might be interesting to have a forum dedicated to having users share their work with others, whether that be art, photography, prose or anything else. Basically getting their stuff out there. Of course, I see how this can be used for evil; such as people posting their homework and bascially asking for the answers. But I'm hoping their is enough moderation in this forum that such abuses won't happen.

I still think an "Arts and Music" section would be beneficial. I love talking about music and movies, and I have music of my own that I would love to hear constructive criticism on, but I don't feel entirely appropriate posting it on "Open Say."

Great idea!
As Aleksandr mentioned, the Media Gallery exists for that purpose, BUT, I hadn't thought of including text. I will add that.
Jon, you CAN add audio to the Media Gallery. We did contemplate adding "Arts and Music", but realized there was really nothing on the forum in that category that wouldn't fit into Bellingham LIfe. You are right, though, that general discussion of Movies and music doesn't quite fit... If you promise to post there, I can go ahead and create an Arts and Music section :-).
PLEASE, though, do share your music in the Media Gallery, and I'll add text options very soon! Great idea...

...at least three of those four things can be shared in the Forum's Media Gallery via upfeed video or photos/scans. I just don't think that anybody realizes that said Gallery exists.
