Under Senate Bill 733, anything anyone could ever do with a computer on or off the Internet is to become subject to direct supervision from a directorate Washington at any time under a blanket assertion of national security.

GOVERNMENT GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY LIFE

Do you believe this bullshit? Or maybe you just don't care.  If you haven't figured it out yet we actually have a one - party system with two competing factions.  I remember when Republican meant you were for less government, now it just means argue with the Democrats over trivial issues while agreeing on everything major ( War in Iraq, the Bailout, ... ) .  But go ahead and keep prosecuting people for smoking a little dope which HARMS NO ONE, thanks for keeping us safe big government.

1984 was supposed to serve as a warning, its not a fucking blueprint.

Okay here's a response so you might calm down a little.  I haven't read the link. However, sounds like bullshit.  That is all I have to say about it for now though.

Hasn't similar crappy stuff

Hasn't similar crappy stuff already been going on with the Patriot Act? In any case, I don't have anything to hide. Once I or other people start being falsely prosecuted I'll start getting mucho upset.

Yes, yes, yes!! And it will continue to happen as long as we let it happen.  At the very least people need to be aware that this is going on.

I mean even if it were to end there, maybe I could grow to accept it, but the Patriot Act allows for so much executive power...
Have you ever heard of Directive 51??

Even with a benevelont dictator, I mean I would be happy.

But guys, this is going to get worse, a lot worse.

I'm so scared, and I don't know what to do.

So you're basically saying

So you're basically saying that you're only so upset at this current trend of increasing government control because the direction that they are going does not appeal to you? That you would support a dictator if you like his particular brand of benevolence? Do you not realize that is how every single dictatorship comes to power? Through people who believe that the dictator is doing something right, ie., that is benevolent in their eyes?

BTW, the term "Red China" ceased to be an effective boogeyman roughly 30 years ago.

Here's something else I found:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rex_84 (read the 2008 part)!

Also : http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=3010
"
The plan is called REX 84, short for Readiness Exercise 1984. Through Rex-84 an undisclosed number of concentration camps were set in operation throughout the United States, for internment of dissidents and others potentially harmful to the state.
"

Oh yes, they have a list, from the wiki article :

In 2008, for the first time an active military unit has been given a dedicated assignment stateside for civil unrest containment. It is assigned to Northcom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.[8]

Change or Fear?

You seem to passionately want people to become mad and fearful. You posted links to Wikipedia and YouTube, ostensibly in hopes of inducing fear and paranoia in the minds of your peers. I appreciate your frustration and your passion; screaming in the dark is always better than crawling into a corner to die.

But it is important to remember that it is almost impossible to refute propaganda without using a language of propaganda of one's own.

And propaganda is NEVER about empowering people; it is about making them so scared that they become blinded, desperate and susceptible (sacrificed) to demagogues. Spreading distrust, unrest and general anxiety is the trade of dictators and the practice had been perfected over time. Not much can be elaborated on the subject.

To be truly revolutionary, don't implore listeners to get upset, EMPOWER them to change the "wrongs" of the world. I mean, I am assuming that you are trying to mobilize your peers/community, and that your mission is not confined to trying to get people to watch videos and read online encyclopedia entries. Change is about empowerment. Remember, people are tired of getting upset and living in fear. By saying "aren't you scared?" you turn people off to a worthy cause by implying that they first must undergo the gauntlet of profoundly unsettling emotions.

In revolutions, people should be smiling.

hell naw

Don't think for an instant that if the government really overstepped their limits and intervened directly with our lives in a way that kept us from having the freedom of movement we do in todays society, we wouldn't rise up in opposition. Especially the super conservative south and midwest, and the liberal coasts as well. We would rain down on DC so hard they wouldn't know what hit em. "Our arrows will block out the sun." Right now they are just super concerned with their own investments and yada yada, but it keeps the country going, so let em do it. Meanwhile, learn how to shoot a bow and arrow.
