Hey- So I miss the days a few years ago where EVERYBODY played poker and I would play like 6 times a week. Does anybody still play, or would be interested in getting some games together? I'm up for cash games/tourneys ranging anywhere from 5-50$. If you have a game and are always needing another guy or 2 let me know, otherwise let's play some poker! :)
Any poker players out there?

yay! One response :). I have a regular game, we usually play weekly, I'll let you know next time it happens
I wont be on campus till the fall, but I would be down to play in a regular game.
I'm down for a cheapie $5 tournament-style, $2.50 buy-in... you know, for funziez. I have my own chips/stuff, too.
This is more me. 5-10$ buy ins.
I'm normally down for up to $20, and up to $40 if I'm feeling adventurous ;)
Yeah I really miss poker as well, and I'd be down for a $5 tourney. My friends and I back in Vancouver, we had tourneys while we were all in high school, and found out that it was great to have cheap tournaments because then you could play 2 or 3 cheap tournaments without dropping ridiculous amounts of money.
Anyway, if you want to set up a game post here and I'll try to stop by.
I guess i could bump it up to 20$ :)
yes! a club would even be awesome..if a gambling club is allowed. i like playing 21 at the casinos but I would love to play Texas Hold 'Em even once a month? I do know how to play and if anyone needs another player let me know!
Sweet! Great to hear more responses. I played with 5-7 other people weekly last year, but 3 of them graduated, so we are looking to replenish for next year. I play a lot more for the mind games involved in poker than for the money, so whatever people want for a buy-in I will play, but 10$ would be great! I'll message people shortly before school starts to organize it.
I thought gambling was illegal. ??
Home games are legal in Washington. What makes it illegal is when the house takes a cut. For examaple: If it is a $20 buy-in and the host takes $5 from each person for hosting it, it is then considered a casino (i don't think that's the official wording, but you get the gist). You can gamble, even in the dorms, as long as the amount of money on the table doesn't become a safety issue for the people involved.
If you want me to show up with chips or play some rounds, seriously just send me an email:
with date/time/place
I don't want to play if the buy-in is larger than $5 sorry. I am risk averse.
