So an idea was recently brought up to me by a friend of mine. Maybe this already exists, and if it does PLEASE point me in the right direction. Let me just start by saying - I'm a (recently announced) Volkswagen enthusiast. I know others exist in Bellingham because I see your cars everywhere. I'm wondering who has any interest in starting a European car club? We can have car shows and meet to talk about cars and NOOBS like me can ask other experienced veterans tricky questions like whether to go with cat-back exhaust or just headers for my mk3 Jetta. That is all! Let me know who is interested.

hmm

Have you ever visited www.vwvortex.com? There is a ton of information, DIY help, classifieds, ect.
I purchased a 2.0 mk3 jetta in January and the site has been extremely helpful in getting all the kinks worked out of the car.

heres a link to the vw forum
forums.vwvortex.com/zeromain
If you do decide to upgrade your exhaust, I have a mechanic who has a lot of experience with vw's and mk3's in particular that I would highly recommend getting in touch with.
As far as a club goes, I might be interested.

I'm a VW nut and a proud

I'm a VW nut and a proud owner (and restorer) of a vintage VW beetle. I know a lot about these cars and Vw history. Where I'm from there were many groups and a large community of VW owners, but in B'ham I haven't found anything. I'd love to join start a club on campus. We can have cruise nights, I've noticed a few other Vdubs arround town (a particularly sweet lime-green Karmann Ghia!).
THE BEST VW forum online is www.thesamba.com  go there for all your inquiries, way better than vortex.

the Samba is good for old

the Samba is good for old aircooled stuff. VWVORTEX is a million times better when it comes to any VW thats watercooled. I've been a member of both for several years.
