Hey folks, I'll be a graduating senior this 2009/10, majoring in Kinesiology. I need to make a little extra cash, and so I this summer I figured I could help my fellow students who are just entering the major or who are taking Anatomy for another major by offering tutoring sessions during the summer as a preliminary tool for the intense memorization that occurs in lab.
I can help tutor in the axial skeleton and its bony landmarks, the appendicular skeleton and its bony landmarks, and the muscular system. These topics comprise the first 4 weeks of lab and the largest bulk of rote memorization, and if you get a head start on them now you'll be a good deal more prepared. These topics are also very useful to have down in PE312 (Functional Anatomy), so learning them at your leisure and remembering them will serve you better than cramming them in 4 weeks and forgetting them.
I have access to the textbooks, various anatomy atlases, and the lab manual. If there is interest, I can see about getting access to a skeleton model. I have experience with the A.D.A.M. computer anatomy software and this software is available on the school computers.
Since I will be retaking Anatomy winter quarter to try for an A for graduate school, this is a great way for me to brush up while helping folks avoid the tidal wave of memorizations that come your way your first quarter of the Kinesiology major--usually while you're tryng to write your 10-page research paper for PE 301.
If you are interested, please let me know at this screen name @students.wwu.edu, or through private message. Tutoring fee is negotiable. Schedule flexible.
