Maybe I am just not looking in the right place, but summer quarter financial aid seems like a cryptic enigma to me.
How many credits do I have to take to get finanancial aid? What is the breakdown in terms of percentages of your loans awarded vs credit load? What is the deal if I enroll in the acelerated O-Chem courses, do they treat it like one 9 week 8 credit course or two 4 week courses? Where is all of this posted on wwu.edu?
tks.

From Western's website: "At WWU, summer quarter is considered the final quarter of the academic year. Therefore, summer financial aid is limited to the financial aid eligibility you have remaining from the academic year. Summer quarter loan amounts are restricted, in part, to the annual loan maximum based on your class status (see Annual Loan Limit chart below)."
So basically, if you have monies left over, you can use it. If not, then you're paying out of pocket.
Since I need to take summer classes to graduate in a reasonable manner (and since I've been using up all of my aid with 20+ credit quarters), I've been taking transfer classes at Whatcom. Half the price, decent profs, and not too bad of a bus ride if you have a book (driving on Meridian just isn't that much fun).
Hope this helps :)
