I'm a reporter for The Western Front, and I'm in search of Western's best and worst bathrooms! Which bathrooms do you go out of your way to avoid around campus? Which bathrooms would you recommend.. or recommend avoiding.. and why? Any particular funny experiences or horror stories you'd like to share would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
Western's nicest/nastiest bathrooms?

Is this what the editors/reporters at the Western Front consider newsworthy? Rather than even considering writing such a story, save the paper that that pathetic example of journalism would be printed on and use it to come up with some better ideas. Or better yet, leave it as space for the student body to express their thoughts and promote their events.
No way. If you haven't been at WWU long enough to know where the good bathrooms are then screw off. I'm not giving up the only thing that gives me the VD-free joy and relief that I deserve. Everyone has to start out sitting on the chocolatey-pus stool before they make it to my shiny porcelain throne.
Nicest bathroom: Cafe Adagio on railroad avenue.
Nastiest bathroom: Horseshoe Cafe.
(From the standpoint of a man, of course)
I don't know what K. Rollin is screaming about. Going into a bathroom with piss in all the urinals and toilet paper all over the ground sucks. especially if you really need to drop a deuce. I'd have to say that the fairhaven bathroom on the first floor by the music studio is trashed out most of the time. The bathrooms in the AIC would rock if the hand dryers weren't so tiny and impossible to use and two feet too short to reach. Best bathroom is easily found at the very bottom of AW in the basement. Its clean, small and doesn't smell like groin.
I just think that there are better topics to write about than the bathrooms on campus, and suggested an alternative use for the space in the paper that would otherwise be occupied by the one proposed by the OP.
I will agree that there are some restrooms on campus that aren't as nice to use as others though.
I would be more apt to use them if they were stocked with non-scarring toilet paper.
It's a slow day for the press when one must resort to article on toilets.
For those who read The Western Front, you've probably noticed that the paper mixes hard news stories with a few laid-back, fun stories in the student life section... such as this one. It isn't meant to be a hard news story and clearly isn't one. It's a type of story I take on to have some fun between reporting on more serious stories -- just a light-hearted story on an entertaining and unusual topic that might give some readers a laugh. And if it's a total flop and doesn't turn out to be interesting, it doesn't run!

Haha I was just thinking the same thing
Whoa whoa whoa wait a minute... what the hell is the AW building?
and btw, someone back me up on the horseshoe bathroom. Stalls don't even have doors, yo! Abandon all hope; all ye who crap here.

Oh come on, be nice.
That said, uh... pretty much any stalls without doors or whose doors have broken locks take the cake for me.
this is a great story.
I always say, if you really want to judge an institution, take a look at their waste management facilities. ie, the crapper. It is a basic human need and if it is not being fulfilled in a clean safe manner then it is a human rights violation.
Yes, I just said that the lack of clean bathrooms is a violation of my human rights.
I don't get it, all year I was able to find relatively clean bathrooms almost any time of day, and I never saw any sanitation workers. Now it is summer quarter and there are probably like 1/5 of the students here, and yet the bathroom situation has declined.
That being said I refuse to give up my favorite spot, look for areas that don't get much traffic. Also, treat it like a game of probability, if there is low traffic and high stall availability there is bound to be a clean head.
see ya!
Best bathroom is top floor of old main.
Down the hallway from the President's Office....

I like any single person unisex bathroom because I like my privacy, but you should check out a thread from a while ago about writing on the bathroom walls. It should give you some good information. I'm not sure where it is but it was on this site.
Good luck!
P.S. There was also an article not too long ago on this topic in the Front.
