The requirements list in the major guide does not list bio 206 as requirement for the Biochemistry degree, yet it is required for classes that are required for this major. Do biochem majors actually need this class, or do we just get exemptions when we sign up for genetics and microbio?
Thanks!

All the real biochemists take that class and know all about animals, vegetables and minerals, though.
Miborovsky: some of us our up against the wall in terms of loot for school and financial aid will only pay for so much... so, I guess we will have to learn about those things on our own in order to keep it real.
I would suggest taking that class because not having that year of lab based biology closes a lot of doors in terms of health-field, technician and graduate opportunity.

That shouldn't be a problem actually, since as a biochem major he has to take BIOL324 which is a lab class.

... as long as you are officially declared a bio-chem major. You will want to talk to your departmental advisor about this. I had the same question a while back and that was the answer.
