Hello,
I am a reporter for the Western Front and I am looking to speak with student who is taking a summer course that is condensed into a 6 (or shorter) week quarter (and is normally offered as a 10 week class during the other quarters.)
I've heard that the chem 121/122 series is especially intense because both classes are covered over the course of nine weeks, which means students are spending a large amount of time each week in class and in lab. I'm sure there are other similar classes that compensate for having less time by including more material each week.
I'd love to interview a couple of students in these types of classes to get a feel for what is expected of them, how much material they are covering (compared to a 10 week course,) whether or not "cramming" 10 weeks worth of material into less time is detrimental to their overall learning experience, and other topics (perhaps some students feel that "intense" summer courses are beneficial due to smaller class sizes?, etc)
If anyone has insight on this topic that they'd like to share - please email me if you wouldn't mind participating in a quick interview.

I'm taking the intensive French course that Western is offering. They've essentially condensed French 201, 202, and 203 into nine weeks. I'd be interested in an interview, and I bet some of the other students in the class wouldn't mind as well.
