I am writing an article for the Western Front about how the local reality companies continue to take advantage of the some what limited supply of apartments in this poor economic environment. They continued to raise rental prices on apartments faster than inflation on apartments near and around campus.
The reason they can continue to do this is because of the small number of large realtor's in the area and students desire to get out of the dorms (not to mention the lack of space in the dorms).
