I am taking it with Mana

I am taking it with Mana right now. In fact i just went over whats going to be on the final for two hours with him. I am not doing well at all, but thats just because I suck at biology and chemistry. He is really encouraging, enthusiastic, and is always available for extra help. If you put the time in you should do well. Unless your like me, in which i feel hopeless. But oh well.

Jantzen (Mr.) was great!

Jantzen (Mr.) was great! It's a tough class, but if you stay on top of things and really take an interest in the subject you'll do fine. I totally recommend it. I've used the material in 90% of my drugs / health / biology classes since then.

It really depends what you

It really depends what you are looking for in a prof. Are you interested in behavioral neuroscience? If so what area? They all teach it a little bit differently some are harder than others. Some students do well in the class, some students find it harder to grasp because of the science side of it. I've taken a class from almost all of the profs that teach 220. I had 220 with Dr. Sherin who is no longer here and I did really well in the class and enjoyed it...but it is also my focus.

If you can go to class every

If you can go to class every day, I recommend Dr. Grimm.  His lectures are both informative and entertaining, and the tests were straight-forward multiple choice exams.
All of the test material came from the notes; I didn't use my textbook at all.  The only downside to his section is that he doesn't post his lecture notes, so if you miss a class you miss the notes (unless someone can email them to you).

Grimm!

Second vote for Dr. Grimm.  Awesome dude, straightforward class, and you rarely use the book.

KJ (Jantzen) is so

KJ (Jantzen) is so awesome.

But you might want to learn how to spell 'psych' first.

Though he is not here

Though he is not here anymore, just wanted to say that Professor Sherin was the shit!. Best teacher I have had.

Just...

Just avoid Primm at all costs. I went to his first lecture and he started talking about octopi, monkeys (from what I've heard from other people who had to suffer through his classes, he's obsessed with them), open heart surgery, and god knows what else... I couldn't even follow some of the stuff he talked about. I think most, if not all, of his classes have a particularly low average grade, and his ratings on ratemyprofessors and another site like that are incredibly low as well. I dropped the class the first day because I didn't even want to take a chance, and I'm so happy I did.
But, my best friend took it with Grimm and aced it... she's a psych major, but from what she told me the tests were fairly straightforward and the lectures were bearable.

Grimm

I had Grimm for 220. It's not the easiest class in the world, but I feel like I didn't have to work all that hard to get my B+ (of course I'm used to taking all chem and bio classes..). I would definitely recommend him to anybody else. Like the others said, make sure you go to class to get the notes. He adds his own material into lecture that's not in the book, and doesn't post his lectures.

GRIMM!!!

DEF recommend prof Grimm!! He is really funny and entertaining and his class isn't boring to sit through. The class can be difficult, but if you understand the concepts and how everything works and such then you should do fine! Alot of the questions are pretty straightforward, but sometimes the questions are worded so you really have to think,as well as, the answers. I felt like I was challenged but not too the extreme in his class! And plus you get to color a book...just for points...but its still fun to color...just like being a kid again:) lol!

Seconded.

Either of the Jantzens are good. I had McNeel; while I don't personally jive with her style, I have friends who did really well in that class. She knows her stuff.

 Grimm, for sure. It's a

Grimm, for sure. It's a challenging class if you're not particularly science-inclined, but Grimm is SO nice and helpful. As someone else already said, it's very important that you go to all the lectures, because all of his test questions come from that material.
As a side note, if you end up taking Grimm's class, study your ass off for the first test. It's worth twice as many points as any of the other tests (even the final) and if you screw it up by not studying at all until the night before (like I did—go me!) you'll spend the rest of the quarter trying to make up for it, and it'll really affect your grade. Good luck!
