The Yule Ball is hosted by the Harry Potter Club and will be on November 21st this year. More information will be available as the date approaches.
How do you play Qudditch? Are you meeting tonight, Wednesday, at 7pm?
The clus is meeting tonight at seven down at the Comm building. Room 110. We're watching te first movie.
What is the club doing next Wednesday?
Next week will most likely be a review of movie one, and then more planning and ideas for the Yule Ball.
We WILL be playing quidditch again this sunday on Old Main Lawn at 3pm.
I am currious as to how you play quidditch without magic broomsticks????...
I'll be sitting over here.. In the corner.
There's only so much that can be explained, it's really more of something that you've just gotta see for yourself.
But to answer the question of how, we put brooms between our legs, and run around playing the game.
What about the snitch? Does someone just run around in a gold uniform and one person from each team tries to tackle him? :D
Interesting.

Yup. It's more entertaining to watch the seekers go after the snitch than to watch the game itself, sometimes. : D

It tends to get to the point that once the seekers see the snitch, it becomes a cross-country speed-test. XD
To drag the topic back, there will be a number of Harry Potter Club members at Quidditch today with info on the Yule Ball, so stop on by to ask any questions.
when is the next time Quidditch will be played? Is it a scheduled time every week? Who is the main contact person for the club?
So anyone is able to attend? Is there a cover charge?
Anyone can come to the Yule Ball and there is no charge. There is also no dress code. People come in formal wear, in costume, and in jeans. Just come to have fun!
When and where is it supposed to be?
I believe al the pertinent information can be found on the Yule Ball Facebook page:

Actually, the facebook page is below, the other one was for planning yule ball stuff, which you don't need to know about :)
It is November 21st from 7-11 I believe, in the MPR and it is free for all Western Students. Our president is Chris Godwin, if you have any questions. This week we are watching the second movie in club, 7-9 in Comm 110, as posted above. The week after Thanksgiving might be a party or book discussion, depending upon level of participation considering it is after all, dead week. Next quarter we will be playing games such as Jeopardy, watching movies 3 and 4, having Lockhart's Valentine's Day party (perhaps a belated Slughorn's X-Mas party), discussions, lessons, and a general good time! There is a facebook group for both the club and quidditch.

Thanks motterv. XD
In review, the Yule Ball was A BLAST.
On the facebook page, and the members who attended, should be images of the ball coming up soon.
Damn, this looked like a lot of fun, wish I would have known it was going down!

The Yule Ball is put on by the WWU Harry Potter Club, which has regular meetings on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in Communications 110 (we used to meet in the Humanities building, but there's been a lot of interest this year so we moved to the bigger room). I believe it's scheduled for Saturday, November 21st. Last year we had food, wizard rock bands, a costume contest, tarot readings in addition to the dancing, and it looks like we'll have a similar lineup this year. There should be advertising for it in the weeks before, too, so keep an eye out. If you have any ideas or want to help out, just get in contact with anyone in Harry Potter Club! (including me, of course. I'm also the guy in charge of Quidditch games, so if you have any questions about that, just ask)
