Mount Rainier Night Sky Time-Lapse

This is 10 hour long time-lapse filmed from 8pm on August 27th until 6am on August 28th.

The camera is positioned on the north shore of Mystic Lake just off of the Wonderland Trail on Mount Rainier. Mount Rainier is on the right and Mineral Mountain is on the left.

There is quite a bit of noise in this sequence of shots. This is due to the high ISO used during capture, the fact that the images were captured in RAW format and that the brightness was increased in post.

The camera, a Canon S3IS, was placed in a custom, water resistant housing and was powered by 10 D cell batteries in a custom power pack.
