Anyone know about the recording studio on campus, and the policies regarding its use?

Yes thank you for the thoughtful response. Perhaps I enjoy recording music and find it a useful tool for improving my music?
There is a recording studio in the Fairhaven admin building. Not sure if it is ran by the dorms or the college, though.
Jamin
Yeah I had looked for it on the WWU website. All the information that is on there is the Fairhaven college page talking about the classes that use it. I was wondering if students that aren't in Fairhaven college have access to it? I would imagine that they're not just going to hand you the keys to thousands of dollars worth of equipment.
There is a studio on campus. It is located on the first floor of the Fairhaven Commons and is only availible for audio recording students to use. There is a series of audio classes taught by Chris Vita that you can take so that you can use the studio.
For more information, check out this site: http://www.wwu.edu/fairhaven/about/faculty/vita.shtml
Are you sure? On the proposal to receive more funding it sounds as if the studio is available to students outside of the department.

Yeah just read the rest of that thing and you do have to be enrolled or be doing an independent study project. Damnit. Don't want to pay $$$
hey man im a recording student at fairhaven and am currently looking for bands to record. this is my 3rd year as a recording student and am about to graduate. hit me up if you are interested.
i dont know if its still there but last year there was a studio in the VU, on the same floor as the kugs radio station. You had to sign up to use it
Hey crackfox, I'm in a band that has used the studio serveral times. What you should do is get in touch with Chris Vita, hes the head of the fairhaven audio recording department. All his classes except audio recording I, require the students to record bands in the studio. So ya it looks like someone who posted was in the class and is interisted in helping, but if it doesn't work out just ask Vita to tell his students that you are looking for a spot. His info should be on the WWU site.
Because, ya the studio is only open to students in the department.

music sucks. dont use a recording studio, its just a way for the man to keep you down. free love, free music. play for fun, not for money.
