Jeff's post requesting interviewees about tanning inspired this thread.
Given that tanning has become so prevalent, are there students here who use Melanotan II?
For those who don't know, Melanotan II is a poly-peptide (like insulin) developed to treat skin cancer. It causes the melanocytes to produce more pigmentation and rapidly accelerates tanning. Most of the research using it has shifted and now focuses on a side effect, spontaneous erections and libido enhancement. There are drug companies in phase III trials for erectile dysfuction in men and sexual dysfunction in women.
Along with nootropics, it seems to have gained a fair bit of popularity in the last few years among the general population, particularly in the UK. Before anyone jumps on me for discussing this, it's not illegal, it falls in legal grey area, but is widely available. And I'm not just curious about actual experiences, I'm also interested in the fundamental property of our society that leads us to 'enhance', from nootropics to steroids. I've heard that steroids are the number one drug cited by needle exchanges in the UK.
